A great book on the craft of woodworking.

If you love trees and appreciate good writing and fine craftsmanship, I highly recommend Callum Robinson’s “Ingrained”. I gifted myself a copy last year and eventually found the right moment to dive in. I'm glad that I did.
Robinson charts his woodworking journey from childhood - observing his Master Woodworker father at his craft - to the establishment of his own workshop and signature style.
“Ingrained” is a tribute to his father, a cautionary tale about the perils of consumerism, and an ode to his craft.
With skill and humor Robinson expresses the creative tension between creating something permanent in an age where too much is disposable, and the realities of earning a living from his skills.
The reader learns not only how the Robinson shapes his wood to create beautiful furniture, but how his life and relationships have been shaped by this amazing natural resource.
If you don't find "Ingrained" at your local bookstore, you should ask them to order a copy for you. Perhaps as a holiday gift for yourself!
