Live-Edge Oak Coffee Table with Curved Ebonized Bases
Handcrafted from a large, cross-section of solid oak, this striking coffee table celebrates raw organic texture paired with sophisticated, sculptural furniture design.
The centerpiece is a 2.5-inch thick solid oak slab featuring a stunning live-edge perimeter with rich, vertical grain textures. Natural structural splits have been masterfully stabilized using classic Nakashima-style butterfly joints (bowties). These joints ensure the lifelong structural integrity of the wood while serving as an elegant nod to heritage Japanese-American woodworking techniques.
Three ebonized, solid oak, curved legs provide a bold, architectural contrast. The dramatic, sweeping curves of the bases give the massive slab a sense of lightness and motion from every viewing angle.
