Black Cherry Live Edge Side Table

This beautiful two-inch thick, live edge Black Cherry cross section is mounted on a sturdy 1/4" steel plate and three 5/8 inch diameter steel legs. Treated to inhibit the "checking" (radial cracks that often occurs when the wood has dried too quickly) this wood has been dried slowly for three years before sanding, finishing and attaching the sturdy steel base plate and legs. The wood has been treated with several coats of a penetrating, natural oil finish.
