Our Story

Crafting one-of-a-kind pieces from sustainably harvested

wood at our farm in upstate NY, bringing eco-friendly

elegance & a nature-inspired touch to any occasion.

At La Collina, we believe the best things in life are crafted with intention, care, and time. From our family farm in Upstate New York, we create high-quality, handmade wood pieces that celebrate the natural beauty of the materials we work with—because every knot, grain, and curve tells a story.

We regularly use Apple, Pear, Cherry, Black Walnut, Maple, Ash, Oak, and Birch wood that is sustainably harvested from our farm or recovered from trees felled by storms or local utility companies. Rescued off-cuts from a local mill offer us non-native species which would otherwise end up burned or turned into sawdust. Our wood is air-dried at our farm for several years before we use it. It's slower than kiln drying, but we prefer the quality and believe that some things are worth the wait.

Every bowl, cutting board, serving board, and handcrafted piece is designed to bring warmth and elegance to your kitchen, your table, and your home. Our finishing process is just as intentional: we avoid vegetable oils that can spoil and synthetic finishes that flake. We only use food-safe drying oils and a wood conditioner made with beeswax from our farms beehives.

Each La Collina piece is one-of-a-kind, never mass-produced—designed to be cherished, used, and passed down. With a little care, it will serve you beautifully for years to come.
